Recovery Walk 2025

On September 20, 2025, Sims Park in New Port Richey came alive with hope and unity as community members gathered for the Stronger Together Recovery Walk. Hosted by The Hope Shot and local partners, the event honored Recovery Month by creating a space where voices of lived experience met with encouragement and compassion. Speakers shared raw, powerful stories of transformation, city officials offered their support, and Natalie delivered a stunning rendition of the National Anthem, setting the tone for an uplifting morning.

One of the highlights was the symbolic walk around Orange Lake, where participants—walking side by side—visibly embodied the message that recovery need not be walked alone.   Local vendors and resource tables lined the park, offering connections to peer support, housing, employment, mental health, and wellness services, reinforcing that recovery is bolstered by community infrastructure and compassion.

This year’s walk was more than a fundraiser or awareness event—it was a celebration of perseverance, a proclamation that healing happens in community, and a tangible reminder that every person in recovery matters. Pasco County’s proclamation of itself as an Inclusive Recovery County underscores the commitment to breaking stigma and creating spaces where recovery is visible, supported, and honored.
